Los Angeles is the perfect hunting ground for shopaholics and foodies alike. The sprawling city is filled with things you might not expect, like tasty empanadas stuffed with macaroni and cheese (we’re looking at you Nonna’s Empanadas) and 3D critters in your coffee cup (Love to Go will even personalize your foam latte animals). There’s one place near the city of angels where window shopping simply won’t do and that’s the mothership of all things punny, funny and chic. Wildfox on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, California is one place we can’t resist popping into whenever we find ourselves in WeHo.

Besides having a fondness for puns that rivals our own love of wordplay, Wildfox has a casual Cali vibe that practically coos, “Oh this? I just threw it on.” (We’re not kidding, Wildfox even has a legit Je Ne Sais Quoi tee.)

From surfer girl style swimwear to graphic tees and sunglasses, Wildfox has your SoCal shopping needs covered.

It’s hard to miss Wildfox’s flagship boutique given that it’s a veritable palace of pink smack dab in the middle of the Sunset Strip. It’s sandwiched between celeb sip spot Chateau Marmont and Beverly Hills’ Greystone Mansion (an iconic spot where “The Bodyguard,” “The Big Lebowski” and a number of Hollywood hit movies have filmed scenes).

The sunny retro West coast brand was launched in 2007, by two friends Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon.

Allegedly Gordon is set to launch a new line called Selkie in 2018, and we’re eagerly awaiting that debut. Part of our excitement could be due to us actually knowing what a selkie is. (Selkies are mythical seal like creatures who shed their skin and become human on land. We only know this because of a trip we took to Scotland where we learned about selkies and Scottish folklore from the Peatfire Tales of Orkney, but that’s a story for another time.)

Over the years Wildfox has broadened its offerings to include Wildfox Kids (we’re not going to lie, sometimes we quietly covet the cute children’s clothes too).

Today Wildfox is carried by a number of retailers across the United States like Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue. Thankfully Wildfox has a fully loaded online site and a number of our favorite online only destinations like Dolls Kill and Revolve also carry Wildfox gear, so we can get our fix even when there isn’t a palm tree in sight.
