Like freshly cut grass, brand new washed tee shirts evoke happy thoughts (unless you’re the one who has to mow the lawn). Like a siren singing to a homesick sailor, we happened to be wandering around Dublin when we heard the soothing sounds of Mazzy Star and R.E.M. wafting up from below the sidewalk. No one can resist “Fade Into You,” so down the rabbit hole we went into what we later discovered was Fresh Cuts Clothing‘s adorable little pop up shop.

Many of Fresh Cuts Clothing’s designs are made out of upcycled materials. Most of the printing, labelling and finishing for the clothing is all done right in Dublin, so you can literally bring a piece of Ireland home with you.

One of my favorite things about Fresh Cuts Clothing is that you’re highly unlikely to bump into someone who is wearing the same hip athleisure gear as you. Fresh Cuts Clothing only makes a limited run of its “fresh designs.” In order to create its limited edition pieces (only 100 pieces are made per print), Fresh Cuts Clothing teams up with up-and-coming Irish based artists and illustrators to commission its designs.

My other favorite thing about Fresh Cuts Clothing is the store owner, Etienne (Etts) Pittion. Etts is part and parcel of what makes Fresh Cuts Clothing such a great find. Fresh Cuts Clothing is definitely worth heading to the basement for especially if you’re looking for a unique gem to bring back from the emerald isle.
